A man from Hampshire died from asbestos exposure, an inquest has heard.
Ronald Lee, who was 88-years-old, died following a long career working on the railways with asbestos.
Mr Lee worked his way up to a foreman electrician role, beginning his career at 14. He worked on the railways for a total of 47 years and died in July of this year.
A letter of testimony, written by Mr Lee’s son-in-law was presented to the inquest in Winchester and confirmed Mr Lee’s work with asbestos.
Sarah Whitby, assistant deputy coroner, recorded a verdict of death from industrial disease.
