Liposuction

Liposuction is one of the most popular cosmetic surgery procedures, trailing only to breast augmentation. The procedure involves the removal of fat from the body through a cannula, and both men and women can benefit from the procedure should they wish to eliminate larger, more stubborn pockets of fat on the thighs, flanks or abdomen. Liposuction can cost anything up to £2,000 and most people are able to return to work a week after the procedure has taken place. This does of course depend on the extent of the procedure; if you have had several areas of the body treated at once your recovery time could inevitably take a lot longer. You should expect some swelling and bruising immediately afterwards, but normally scars aren’t a problem as the incision is so small. If you experience these side effects for a prolonged period of time it could be a sign of negligence. Should you or your loved one feel that your liposuction was administered without due care, leaving you suffering as a result then you could be entitled to make a claim for compensation.
