Botox Injection ClaimsHave you received a botched botox injection?
Botched Botox Injections
Botox injections have increased in popularity throughout the UK in recent years because of claims the injections are virtually risk and pain free. Luckily for most individuals this is true and experience no harmful effects whatsoever but as with any procedure of this nature risks are out there and so they could be both considerable and permanent.
Botox injection problemsListed below are a few of the common effects of a botched botox injection:
Lop Sided Smile from Botox
This happens if the muscles that control the contour of the mouth are injected incorrectly. It can lead to one side of the smile being pulled down or up. Normally it is much more obvious when an individual is smiling or talking.
Facial Droop on One Side Because of Botox
This can often be rare. The droop may appear when Botox is injected into the ‘crows feet’, around the eye or eye lid. The Botox moves into the muscle that elevates the corner of the lip and part of the cheek. Sometimes this is short lived and most have to wait for the Botox injection to wear off.
The Lower Eyelid after Botox
In some cases the lower eyelid area may look worse following a botox injection. This is due to the muscles around the eye becoming too relaxed. For some people who’ve a tendency for that muscle to loosen overtime, an injection around the eye could make the eye lid look a lot worse.
Can I make a Botox compensation claim?
Like with any clinical or cosmetic treatment, Botox treatments should be delivered by a trained individual with an knowledge of facial anatomy and knowledge of what to do if somebody have an allergic reaction. The Botox injection comes from a highly poisonous toxin – Botulinum toxin type A. In serious negligence cases the injection could cause death and for that reason we urge any one concerned about going through the procedure to seek advice from their GP.
If you have under gone: serious loss of facial movement, disfigurement, impaired vision or a severe allergic reaction, then call one of our clinical negligence solicitors on 0800 122 3130 or fill out one of our call back forms so that one of our solicitors can call you when its convenient for you.
